Leonardo Miucci

Leonardo Miucci is a historical pianist and musicologist. He studied fortepiano at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag and at the Mozarteum Salzburg (with Robert Levin) in parallel with his musicological studies at Rome University Tor Vergata. In recent years, he has focused on Beethoven’s performance practice; among his contributions are his doctoral dissertation about Beethoven’s piano sonatas (which is in course of publication by the Beethoven-Haus Bonn), his critical editions (Bärenreiter) and his piano recordings (Dynamic/RSI).
He teaches music history at Matera Conservatory (IT) and since 2010 he is a collaborator at the Hochschule der Künste Bern.
