Die frühe italienische Klavierschule steht in direktem Zusammenhang mit der klassischen Wiener Klaviertradition, wobei der Mozart-Schüler Francesco Pollini (1762–1846) das zentrale Bindeglied darstellt. Ein Überblick über Pollinis Werk ermöglicht es, seine Persönlichkeit im Kontext der beruflichen Strategien eines Musikers seiner Zeit zu positionieren: als Pädagoge, Komponist und Interpret. Die Rezeptionsgeschichte der frühen italienischen Klaviermusik wird dabei ebenso beleuchtet wie die Instrumente der Zeit und ihr Einfluss auf die örtliche Klaviertechnik.

On 19 May 2020, 17:00 (MEST) a webinar on the Beethoven piano sonatas will be held with the participation of our collaborator Leonardo Miucci. Organised by the Società Italiana die Musicologia, researchers as Federica Rovelli, Guido Salvetti, and Giorgio Sanguinetti will present their "Progetto Beethoven" and discuss (in Italian) analytical and musical questions on this topic. A musical surprise will not be missing.
