An der Hochschule der Künste Bern findet vom 30. November bis zum 2. Dezember 2017 eine internationale Konferenz zum Thema „The Future Sound of Pop Music“ statt.
Das Symposium diskutiert, wie sich die Klangästhetik der populären Musik während der letzten Jahrzehnte verändert hat, stellt zur Debatte, wie neue Sounds entstanden sind, wie sie eingesetzt, ständig erneuert und durch neue Sounds ersetzt werden, und erörtert nicht zuletzt die Zukunft von Sounds in der Popmusik.

At the Bern University of the Arts from 30 November to 2 December 2017 a symposium on „The Future Sound of Pop Music“ takes place. This symposium will discuss how the sound aesthetic of popular music has changed over the past decades. It will debate how sounds have been created, how they are employed, and how they are constantly being renewed and replaced by new sounds. Last but not least, the symposium will discuss the future of sounds in pop music.
