The Fifth International Romantic Brass Symposium continues a year-long tradition at the Bern University of the Arts. Recurring on the research project Sound of Brass on the German trombone of the late 19th century, scholars and musicians of all over the world will meet to discuss the latest research in the area of brass instruments.
Keynotes will be given by Anneke Scott, Trevor Herbert and Stewart Carter, and the symposium will be accompanied by a concert with soloist Ian Bousfield (trombone).
Organised in collaboration with the Historic Brass Society.
Please note the symposium is held in BIEL (not Bern).
There is no conference fee, tickets needed just for the concert on Wednesday 21 November 2018, 19:30.
